Steve Bonham and The Long Road - 'No Particular Blues'
BWH Music Group’s Keepin' It Country, Vol. One, by Various Artists, contains an eclectic Mix of 17 songs by today's best independent Country artists and Songwriters. With great storytelling and heart-felt performances at the core of each song, the album spans traditional and contemporary Country music. Off the compilation, Steve Bonham and The Long Road's single, "No Particular Blues," is a country-blues gem.
A bucket full of bluesy guitar twang with head-bobbing swinging syncopation commences "No Particular Blues." It's the kind of groove that has a sticky, swampy style. Grab a cold beer, because "No Particular Blues" is hot with tight musicianship! There are no show-offs on this song, just musicians who know how to serve the song. The Long Road creates a mesmerizing groove that moves like a train with full-steam.
"Aint no particular hole, I’m falling down. I’m sinking the old boat honey, letting it drown. It’s babalogical we’re touching the skies Phantasmagorical and we’re gonna fly."
Steve Bonham sings lead vocals with a laid-back, natural feel that showcases his down-to-earth roots music influences. He's not a howling blue's singer - he lets his vocals unfold, like a fine wine. Lyrically, "No Particular Blues" is laced with intelligent and clever lines. While most blues song talk about love, work, or hard-times, Steve Bonham and The Long Road don't have any "particular blues" except with those who abuse power. In the end, "No Particular Blues" is about living life to the fullest and flipping the bird to those who try to take your freedom away.
"Wherever we go, wherever we sleep. Whatever we find, you can keep. Let’s believe in each other, leave the past at the door. Within and without, Let’s even the score."
"No Particular Blues" will take your blues away by taking the old formulas of music away and replacing them with a new way of hearing music and seeing life. Steve Bonham and The Long Road are on a long road to music success with nothing to slow them down.

Steve Bonham and The Long Road offer a swampy brew of sharp lyrics, great melodies and the fab sound of acoustic instruments being played with passion and purpose. Appealing to the outlaw in us all, the band features Steve Bonham who has been described as "the songwriter’s songwriter" along with Chris ‘The Bishop’ Lydon on piano and tuba (Liz Green and Beth Chapin-Carpenter), ‘The Big Man’ Kev Moore on bass, guitar and drums (Christie, Saxon and Witchcross) and ‘Long’ John Humphreys on guitar, resonator, banjo and fiddle.
In 2018 they released two companion albums as part of their ‘Gone to Look for America’ project: The Girl with the Rattlesnake Heart and Reliance. The albums received critical acclaim from Maverick Country and Rock n' Roots (RnR). Their songs have been in radio rotation in over 40 countries. This year they are taking the stage at The Festival of The Artisan, the Lichfield Festival of Folk and the UK Country Music Radio stage at the Welshpool Country Festival. Steve has also toured as a solo act in the US and Germany.
