Nina Lee's song "Lift Up" was the 2020 W.A.M. Award Winner for Best Song in the Social Justice / Peace category.

Your heart will beat loud as a shining voice emerges out of the darkness. Nina Lee’s powerhouse vocal performance and profound message will rise you up in her song “Lift Up.” The sub-bass and simplistic pop piano introduce Nina’s warm and raspy vocals. As the harmony blazes over the deep bass, the vocals subtlety progress into the bridge. Nina’s attentively sings through each line as the piano and sub-bass support her resonating vocals. The production and arrangement on “Lift Up” are simple in the instrumentation, which allows for the chord progressions and dynamic vocals to take center stage.

“Lift Up” is about inspiring others to rise together in this world through our universal trials and tribulations. Nina’s eclectic style and vibe rush over you like a strong wave. We all have fallen and needed help to rise again into our power. This song is message for the world; it is time to come together. As the chorus raptures in joy:

“So, lift us up Cause, it don’t matter where were from Lift us up And it don’t matter who we love We’ll rise and come together We can make it better If we stand as one.”

Nina Lee is a phenomenal artist; she knows how to write a dynamic and profound piece of music while still encompassing a duality of calmness and edginess. Her music ushers in a new age of artists and listeners who want change. Nina is the voice for this age. She’s a fierce, free spirit with a vibrate persona that translates beautifully in her music and message.
