Natalie Jean - 'What Would You Do For Love?'

BWH Music Group’s 'Keepin' It Country, Vol. One,' by Various Artists contains an eclectic mix of 17 songs by today's best independent Country artists and songwriters. With great storytelling and heart-felt performances at the core of each song, the album spans traditional and contemporary Country music. Off the compilation, Natalie Jean's song "What Would You Do For Love?" is a heart-warming reflection on the unstoppable power of love.
A crying melodic guitar lead against a well-produced acoustic and synth track starts the country-pop ballad, “What Would You Do For Love?” by Natalie Jean. Organic finger-picking gives the song a country/ world vibe before more pop elements are added to the full mix. Natalie enters singing, “Have you ever felt lost? Hard times on every corner, felt so blue you didn’t know what to do?”
As the verses unfold, so does the story. Although the lyrics could be for any situation that finds you in hard-times, where difficult decisions have to be made, this song is a social commentary on immigration. The well-written, meaningful lyrics ask challenging questions, “Would you climb the highest mountain? Would you give them your wings so that they could fly? Would you swim across the ocean? Tell, Me What would you for love? What if they told you, you were committing crime, by Crossing the line Would you walk in the eye storm Or take cover behind that wall Tell me What would you do for love?”
Please take a moment to watch Natalie’s soul-stirring video:
Natalie sings with a heartfelt urgency that brings the song home to any country. She literally pulls at your heart-strings with a vocal performance that could move emotional mountains. The song opens our minds and our hearts. Her voice is gorgeous and expressive. Her artistic nuance is flawless, noteworthy. Natalie is as polished as a diamond, as warm as the sun, and as beautiful as the song she has written. In "What Would You Do For Love?," a courageous voice is heard as she sings for those less fortunate. She doesn't preach or give sermons, she simply takes a moment to walk in someone else's shoes and invites us to do the same.
Natalie shows what she would do for love – she would heal the world, one beautiful song at a time, and she has accomplished this with her song “What Would You do For Love.” Bravo, Natalie Jean and thank you.
