Goddess Cre - 'I Am Woman'

Review Written by Victoria Scott & Staff

“I Am Woman” by Goddess Cre featuring Genesis Be is an inspirational R&B and pop song that will knock your socks off. The hot 90's pop beat enters supporting Goddess Cre's confident and gorgeous vocals.

The catchy chorus keeps your body moving, with a Latin pop beat. The harmonic background vocals add a dynamic layer giving the song an edge and powerful vitality. In the break, Genesis Be comes in with a robust rap flow and fiery bars that add a swagger style. The stellar production by Zona Simz has a kinetic and progressive layer, with trumpet and electronic effects.

Goddess’s story as a cancer survivor inspires strength and inspiration. The lyrics have a strong impact during the chorus with lines that make for a women’s anthem that proclaims a woman's voice is her own and she will not be silenced. “I Am Woman” has intelligent and motivational lyrics that are empowering.

“You’re always in the mood, Is always are your mind, I’m taking back your thoughts, because they’re rightfully mine. I don’t want to feel like I’m silenced, Because I am a woman, I am a woman, I am a woman.”

“I Am Woman” is the women’s anthem for finding our voice and taking back our power. Goddess Cre is an inspiration and her bold thematic material can lead a generation through music that is contemporary and radio-ready. Rap artist Genesis Be brings her unique flavor, which is an electric force that amps up the song. “I Am Woman” is the perfect song to get charged to and take on the world.
