Barry Rock – “Stop Playing With My Heart”

Review by Brandon Watts & Staff

Barry Rock’s “Stop Playing With My Heart” is a soft rock ballad that will have you reminiscing on the glory days of rock n' roll with its classic sound and catchy hook.

The first thing to catch your ear is the crunchy, upbeat electric guitar progression that lies at the heart of this rockin’ groove. Then, not before long, a pulsing kick from the drums enters the mix queueing a melodic accent played fiddle which leads us into a full arrangement in an energetic welcoming to this powerful ballad.

Adding to the depth and large sound of the arrangement, Barry’s cool, laid-back vocals have a doubled effect adding a nice-spacious timbre to his sound that is a staple of many classic rock hits.

Drawing inspiration from a past, long-term relationship, Barry is backed by female vocal harmonies as he sings,

“Where is the love that we knew One thing I know is true There’s nothing more to say Now that were apart Baby stop playing with my heart”

Ultimately, Barry Rock has a timeless, authentic sound that any fan of classic rock will vibe with. “Stop Playing With My Heart” is just one of his great new singles off of his newest project This Storm. Make sure to give this track a listen and keep an ear out for more from Barry Rock.
