Almost An Artist - 'The Sound of Summer'

Almost An Artist aka Julian Cassia is a producer, engineer, recording artist and multi-instrumentalist. He plays a vast array of instruments including: guitars, drums, percussion, keyboards, clarinet and GuitarViol (a one-of-a-kind hybrid that closely resembles a violin in timbre). His sound combines indie-rock and electronic music. Julian is also a film composer who has worked on several award-winning films: "The Traveler" (2016) and" Man with Van" (2017). Julian holds a dual degree from the Berklee College of Music in Music Synthesis and Film Scoring, as well as a Master's in Composition from NYU.

A mellow guitar lick that feels like a hot, lazy summer day starts the song with a sense of anticipation. After a few bars, the track kicks into a light jam created by strumming acoustic guitars and crisp percussion. A bridge section takes the song down an unexpected alternative, indie-rock path as Almost An Artist sings "We come apart, in the cycle of life, darling, before we restart."
