From Toronto, Canada, Kristen Karma is a pop artist on the rise. She studied voice with Judith Rabinovitch ( coach for Avril Lavigne and Sarah McLachlan) and obtained a certificate in Audio Engineering from Hot Sole Music. Kristen was even handed a Gold Award by HRH Prince Edward! In 2013, Kristen performed in the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball After-Party and open for Tour DJ/Lady Gaga BFF Lady Starlight in Vancouver. With rave reviews from her performance, she received the opportunity to work with lil’Jon on her single “Sirens.” Kristen has now teamed up with Mark Zubek (Zedd Records) on her latest hit single, ‘Party Heroes’.

Party Heroes, which was co-written by Kristen Karmazinuk and Mark Zubek, is a hard pulsing song with great dance chart potential. "Party Heroes" opens with a 16-bar attention-grabbing intro that rocks, grooves, pulsates and pounds on electronic synth with a nice thick bass and clapping percussion sounds establishing a strong dance vibe. Kristen starts singing with the perfect touch of confidence and attitude, “Back to the walls like you’re back in school. No one makes a sound afraid to break the rules.” The impression is that Kristen herself is not afraid to break the rules. Her tone is crisp and clear, intentional, easily rising above the professional quality production and mix.

The first two versus set up the scene. This could be club or a party. There are just a few people there. Nothing is happening yet, but wait....the pre-chorus arrives and the party changes! “Time to get dirty, get a little flirty, gonna five you what you need.” The song then breaks into the contagious chorus with some hard hitting beats and a short break in sound that sets up the breath before the chorus kicks in, “Bust through the doors, here to save the day. Rescue our souls and show us the way. We show up late and we’re bringing the crowd. Look out, we’re coming and it’s gonna get loud.” At this point, the song is in full gear.

Throughout the track, the arrangement is full of electronic dance elements that are layered creating interesting textures and sounds that you can lose yourself in. In the bridge section, Kristen’s sings, “P-P-P Party , P-P-P Party Heroes” with some fun rhythmic articulations. Kristen’s style is influenced by Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato and you can hear those music heroes in her music. Towards the end, the song moves into a complete dance jam that you can break a sweat to taking the energy all the way to the very end until a quick fade-out dims the lights.

"Party Heroes" pays tribute to the people who set the trends, get the party going and light up the night. In this case, the party is starting and the party hero is Kristen Karma as she lights up the stage with her neon pink microphone in hand and delivers songs that have fun lyrics, boundless energy, contagious melodies, wicked pulsing beats and grooves sung with confident vocals. Kristen’s music keeps things current, fresh, alive and exciting. Kristen Karma is currently back in the studio working on new singles to be released in 2017.
